Terms of Service

Last updated: April 19, 2026

The short version

Use Snipetic for legitimate purposes, don't capture content you have no right to capture, and pay for Pro if you use Pro features. That covers most of it.

Acceptance

By installing or using the Snipetic Chrome extension, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the extension. These terms apply to both the free and Pro tiers.

What Snipetic does

Snipetic is a Chrome extension that captures screenshots and provides in-page design tools — rulers, color pickers, font inspection, element highlighting, and annotation. All processing happens locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or have access to anything you capture.

Certain features (like Forced Dark Mode) inject CSS into pages you visit. This affects only your local view of those pages and has no effect on the page for anyone else.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the extension and what you do with the screenshots you take. You agree not to use Snipetic to capture or reproduce content in ways that violate applicable law, infringe on the rights of others, or breach the terms of service of the sites you visit.

The extension is a tool. What you do with it is on you.

Free and Pro plans

Snipetic is available in a free tier with a core set of capture and design features. The Pro plan unlocks additional tools — scroll container capture, arrow and blur annotations, crop and resize, ruler, font analyzer, grid guides, distraction free mode, browser frame mockup, and export with annotations — for $4.99 per month, billed through LemonSqueezy.

A Pro license key activates on up to 3 devices. You can deactivate a device at any time from the extension's options page to free up a slot.

Billing and cancellation

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. You can cancel anytime through your LemonSqueezy account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full Pro access until then.

We generally do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. If something went wrong on our end or you were charged in error, reach out at hello@snipetic.com and we'll work it out.

Extension permissions

Snipetic requests broad host permissions (<all_urls>) so it can capture screenshots on any page you visit. It uses Chrome's scripting, storage, tabs, and offscreen APIs to operate. It does not run persistently in the background, does not track your browsing history, and does not send any data off your device. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Limitations and known constraints

Snipetic cannot capture Chrome system pages (chrome://, devtools://, chrome-extension://) — this is a hard browser security restriction, not something we can work around. Some pages with complex rendering, strict content security policies, or non-standard scrolling behavior may produce unexpected results. We do our best to handle edge cases but cannot guarantee perfect output on every site.

Intellectual property

Snipetic and its branding are owned by us. The extension is not open source. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, modify, or redistribute the extension or any part of it. Your captures and annotations belong to you.

No warranty

Snipetic is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every page or Chrome version. Chrome updates occasionally break extension behavior — we address those issues as quickly as we can, but there may be gaps. Use the extension at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Snipetic and its developers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension. Our total liability to you for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continuing to use the extension after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to communicate it.
